Prepaid Smartphones Options

by Ken
(OHIO)

I hear that several companies will be offering smartphones, I know Boost is right now but what others will be offering them and what equipment. I want to see the phone options before I buy something and then find something better a week later.

Prepaid Smartphones ARE Available!
by: PrepaidWirelessGuy

I completely understand your objective and your concern. There's nothing more frustrating than buying a new gadget in a market that's exploding with growth only to learn that something new is coming around the corner! i.e. Buyers remorse!

I have compiled a page that shows all of the existing prepaid smartphones that are currently available in the U.S., as well as some that are coming soon. I learned about the ones that are coming soon from press releases/announcements that I read over the past months. Although a device lineup can change on a dime for a number of reasons (i.e. nothing is guaranteed until it's actually in store!), I only lists ones that are pretty solid. In other words, I don't list ones on the table that are rumors; it must come from an official or legitimate source.

Also note that carriers will sometimes delay press releases or any kind of announcement until as close to launch as possible. They often due this not only due to the uncertainty of launch timing, but also to avoid slowing down sales of existing phones. When they announce super early, they're often times doing it because their existing lineup is weak, and they want to keep your interest to avoid losing customers, the hope of having new customers wait a little longer to get the new product, or get the analyst excited about things to come.

Anyway, the first link below is to the list of prepaid smartphones. The other links are to related pages that you might find interesting:
