I'd pay more to avoid a contract!

by Laurent
(Irvine)

With the value of prepaid plans, and the ability to control spending (i.e. no surprise large bills at the end of the month!), I’d be willing to pay up to $150 for a phone. I usually end up keeping my phone for a couple of years, and I’d more than make up for the $75/yr on the savings of the prepaid plan. Any more than $150 and I don’t know that I’d want to fork over that money even if it’s a better deal in the long run.

That sounds reasonable!

Hi Laurent - I think that amount sounds very reasonable. Your comment regarding upgrades makes a lot of sense. Considering how much the average person spends on coffee or daily snacks, $150 for a year or two sounds pretty worthwhile!
